QUEENSLAND’S NEW SMOKE ALARM REQUIREMENTS TAKE FULL EFFECT JANUARY 1st, 2027

From 1 January 2027, all Queensland homes must have compliant interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms installed in the required locations.

This isn’t just about meeting government regulations. Compliant smoke alarms help protect your family, your property and may also be relevant to your obligations under your home insurance policy. If your home isn’t compliant, it’s worth checking with your insurer how that could affect your cover or a future claim.

Rissons Electrical can check your existing alarms, identify what needs upgrading and get your home compliant before the deadline.

DON’T WAIT UNTIL JANUARY. CALL TODAY AND GET YOUR HOME COMPLIANT.
